When is Good Friday?

Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and falls two days before Easter Sunday. It is observed with solemnity in most Christian countries — many businesses close, church services are held, and in the Philippines the tradition of public flagellation and even crucifixion re-enactments draws global attention. In Germany, dancing and loud music are traditionally prohibited on this day.
