About World on Time

The world’s time and date, beautifully presented.

What we do

World on Time is a free time and date utility for the entire world. We provide a live world clock, timezone converter, calendar, astronomy data (sunrise, sunset, moon phases), weather, holidays, and a developer API — all in a clean, mobile-first interface that works offline once installed as a Progressive Web App.

Every feature is free for everyone. We don’t lock anything behind a paywall, we don’t ask you to sign up to view a clock, and we don’t sell your data.

Why we built this

The popular alternatives haven’t kept up with how people actually use the internet today — most time and date searches now happen on phones, but the existing options are still desktop-first, ad-heavy, and slow. We wanted something that loads instantly, looks good on a phone, works offline, and treats the reader with respect.

How it works

World on Time is built on Next.js and hosted on Vercel. Our city, country, and timezone data comes from open sources (GeoNames, IANA tzdata). Holiday data is sourced from Nager.Date. Weather data is sourced from Open-Meteo. Sun and moon calculations are computed locally — no network round-trip, no third-party dependencies for the math.

How we make money

World on Time is supported by display advertising. We run a maximum of one or two ad slots per page, and they’re only loaded after you accept cookie consent. We don’t use popups, autoplay, or interstitials. Cleaner than the competition is a deliberate choice — see our Privacy Policy for the full list of partners we work with.

Who’s behind it

World on Time is built and operated by Two Quarters Ventures Sdn. Bhd., a small independent studio. We answer support questions ourselves — there’s no support ticketing system, just an inbox.
