When is All Saints' Day?

All Saints' Day on November 1 is a Christian feast honouring all saints, both known and unknown. It is a public holiday across much of Catholic Europe — in France and Poland, families visit cemeteries to light candles and lay flowers on graves. In Mexico, it overlaps with Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a vibrant two-day celebration where families build ofrendas (altars) and welcome the spirits of deceased loved ones.
